A parody of interactive art and exercise culture.
The audience walk into a space which mirrors a projection of an aerobics video and are invited to join in, interacting with the piece through pressure sensors under the excercise mats. However, the video increases in speed so that it is always too quick for them, the particluar exerices also randomly change after a few seconds of interaction and then at random time intervals. When the audience stops interacting with the piece it sits on the same loop and slows back down to an inviting speed. Care was taken with the programming to ensure no skips between the changing of video loops. The sound consists of a pulse which changes according to the speed of the video. The pulse is loud and deep enough to affect the actual pulse of the audience members.
